In a series of lectures and conversations with her students, Nina de Vroome explores the implications of various media; the way reproduction of images has changed our relation to reality and the role mass media are playing in shaping communities and personal interactions. The influence of mass media in consumer society is examined. Furthermore, the way media demarcate our capacity to relate to current affairs and position ourselves in a complex visual culture is being addressed.
